How will King David be serving in the millennium, when Christ is here ruling for the 1000 years. And will we be (all christians) in Jerusalem, or in that area? King David will serve as the King of Israel. Jesus Christ will serve as King over all the earth. Zechariah 14:9 says, “And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall be one LORD, and his name one. And then we read in verse 16, “And it shall come to pass, that everyone THAT IS LEFT OF ALL THE NATIONS WHICH CAME AGAINST JERUSALEM shall even go up from year to year to worship the KING, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of Tabernacles.”
