Question:
On one of your programs you stated “we are saved by Jesus’ death.” Is this not misleading because many people believe that Jesus lived and died but are not going to be saved? Aren’t we really saved by believing who Jesus is, since He is God, that He is the Savior, and that He does the saving? Concerning Jesus’ death, did He not die for the sins of the world? As a former Jehovah’s Witness, I believed that Jesus’ death paid for my sins but I did not believe in who He was or is. The I Am.
Answer:
Good point! It is fundamental that we must believe in the “Jesus” of the Bible. The Witnesses present a “false Jesus” that cannot not save. We need to present the Jesus who is the “I AM” (John 8:24) and that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again from the dead. Thanks!
