Q # 9550227

Question:

In Romans 5:10, what does the phrase “we shall be saved by His life” mean?

Answer:

I believe that this talking about the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Because He is ALIVE FOREVER, Jesus can make good on His promise of ETERNAL LIFE. If Jesus did not rise from the dead, then we have no future. Take a look at 1 Corinthians 15:14-15 which says, “And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.” Now take a fresh look at the passage from where the question comes: Romans 5:8-10 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”
