Q # 8196646

Question:

Concerning believers invisibly reigning with Christ for a 1,000 years, will not Christ be reigning visibly in His resurrected body? Are not the believers resurrected physically also? Rev. 20:4, says believers will “live” and reign with Christ. Are you saying that even though believers are resurrected that they may not be visible to the people of the world who are in subjection to them? How does Rev. 3:9, fit in with this view? I believe most of us (including me) forget about God’s promises and that Rev. 20:9, answers this for us. Those who reign with Christ will not just live in the “beloved city” but all the area around the beloved city that God promised to Israel’s believers and all others who believe. The city is small compared to all the rest of the area God also promised. Billions of people can live in that area and they will visibly. At least that is how I see it.

Answer:

It seems that believers will not live in the NEW JERUSALEM until after the 1,000 years are expired. The NEW JERUSALEM is not introduced in the book of Revelation until chapter 21 which begins with the present earth destroyed and a new heavens and earth. Then the NEW JERUSALEM appears and the believers invited to enter and live with the Lord. During the 1,000 years reign of Christ the believers in their resurrection bodies will probably be invisible to believers who are the subjects during the 1,000 years who are in their mortal bodies. But because the Bible doesn’t state either way, YOU MAY BE RIGHT! We will have to wait to find out for sure. Thanks for the question.
