I was reading your answer about the blood of Christ. In the Old Test. the blood was literal, judgement symbolic. In the New Test. the blood is symbolic, judgement literal. Sins were not washed away or cleansed. They were judged. If you look at the context of Heb. 9:12, it’s refering back to the Old Test. Sacrificies in which the blood of the animal was a symbol of the awesome word of Christ on the cross. The blood of Christ had significance, but not for washing away the sins of man. Sins were judged. He said that it is finished. His blood was still in His body.
