Yes, He did. For now read II Peter 1:21 where we read that the Old Testament prophets had the Holy Spirit. Also, I Peter 1:11 The prophets all had the Holy Spirit. Read I Samuel 10:10 where the Holy Spirit came upon Saul and he was counted with the prophets.
