When Christ took on our sin at the cross, what was his penelty? Why isn’t He spending all of eternity in Hell if He really traded His righteousness for our sin? The wages of sin is Death! Why isn’t He experiencing Eternal seperation from God? That is the penelty for sin that we must pay is it not?
Answer:
As a sinless man He could pay for the sins of another man. As God He could make an infinite payment in a finite amount of time.
