Dr. Lindstrom, While Jesus was hanging on the cross, He entrusted the care of His mother to the Apostle John(his cousin). Why do you suppose He did not have his immediate family of brothers(James, the writer of the Book of James) or his sisters care for her? What was the custom of that day pertaining to this?
