Q 055

Question: “First of all, I hope my email is reaching you in good spirits. I want to first say thank you for your work through Bibleline by spreading the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the world. You have shown me this great joy that is described in 1 John 1:1-4 and because of this, I am unshackled from this world and now belong to Christ. I do not personally know you, but know that you and your ministry are in my prayers that more may share this same confidence we have in Jesus Christ our Lord.

I have gone myself and spread this same good news to my family members and coworkers because I too want them to be free in Christ. However, my problem is that when I told this news to some of my family members, they grew angry with me and even went as far as to mock me for believing or even mock God. I want to keep working on them so that they will be saved through Him, but I have grown so discouraged and upset and angry with how they treat it. I dont know what I should do; continue to try and get through to them and suffer them longer, or to let them live in their ways and leave them be on this message.

Once more, thank you and your ministry for all that you do to share the good news of Christ to the entire world through Bibleline. God bless you all.”

Answer:

Wow, thank you for these kind words. When you are mocked, remember these words from Jesus.

“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.” (John 15:18-21)

Remember, Jesus still went to the cross and paid for the sins of all world. He did what none of us could ever do…

I know reaching family is hard, but keep planting those seeds. Remember that Jesus has already given you an example. Trust Him and love your family. Lord willing, they will hear the gospel from your mouth and see Jesus’ actions through your own.

Prayers from Tampa.
