Question:
I have really been struggling lately. I have been going through a lot of big hard things in my life for the past few years that have hit all at once. I do believe that Jesus is the Messiah and he paid for our sins on the cross. I have been finding myself being really mad at him lately wondering why he didn’t protect me from certain things and just doubting his goodness. Am I still saved because I am doubting?
Answer:
You are eternally secured in Jesus Christ. God has justified you and placed you into his family. You have been adopted and born again. You have been sealed with the Holy Spirit and will be until the day of your redemption.
Doubt is not more powerful than Jesus, your salvation, or what you may have experienced throughout the course of your life. Past, present, future, there is nothing that can undo what God has done.
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:31-39)
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.” (John 5:24)
“And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (John 6:39-40)

Rest in Christ. Trust him for the joy of your salvation. Settle your doubts by believing in the promises he gave you.
