Q # 1881899

Question:

Concerning Lazarus, the beggar, in Paradise, and the rich man in Hades; the Bible says that the rich man could see Lazarus. Does this mean that the dead believers in Christ have some sort of spiritual body that would make the identifiable before actually getting their resurrection body. The Bible also says Lazarus was comforted, which also makes me think he had some sort of of body in Paradise. This would also seem to rule out “soul sleep” as believed by some groups. How could the rich man look over and see Lazarus if he did not have some type of body?

Answer:

Perhaps a spiritual body of some kind.
