I very much believe in Salvation through grace alone(Eph.2:8-9); so would you please explain the context of James 2:14.
Answer:
The salvation of James 2:14 is not from hell but from the consequences of the Judgment Seat of Christ (I Corinthians 3:11-15). James 2:12 says, ‘So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty’. In other words, having faith will save you from Hell, but if you have no works faith will not save you from the consequences of the Judgment Seat of Christ. You will not be saved from the loss of reward, the sorrow, the tears, the regret, the ashamedness, etc. that will occur to the believer who has faith but no works.
