Question:
I wish to understand whether we are to water baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost as stated in Matthew 28:19 or are we to baptized in the name of Jesus?
Answer:
I don’t think that it makes any difference! You must conclude that when you compare different passages that speak of both. Jesus in Matthew 28:19 says,” Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” The Apostle Paul in Acts 19:4-5 says, “Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
