Q # 294966

Question:

Hank, I’ve read, at different times, that people are going to disappear at the rapture. What do you thing about this? I believe everyone will die. I believe at the rapture, of the Church, we will changed in an instant. But, our bodies will stay here. We will receive a new body. The Word states that it’s appointen unto man once to die. Everyone has an appointment with death. The rapture will not get you out of this. If we’re alive at the time, it will be so fast, that you won’t even know it. But your earthly body will return to dust. From dust thou art and to dust thou shall return. One part of the Word doesn’t go against another part of the Word. Wally

Answer:

Thanks Wally, but the scriptures teach that we will bodily disappear and those living at the rapture who are believers will be the exception to the rule. Enoch in the Old Testament was a picture of the rapture. His body disappeared and everyone hunted for Enoch and he could not be found because he was bodily taken. Hebrews 11:5 states, “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” Notice he didn’t see death and Enoch was translated from earth to heaven. Exciting isn’t it! Meet you in the air.
