Question:
DR HANK: THANKS FOR YOUR SHOW ON THE RADIO. IN THE FUTURE I’D LIKE TO BUY SOME OF YOUR TAPES WHEN I CAN. MY QUESTION IS: CAN YOU EXPLAIN THE SACRIFICES IN THE OLD TESTAMENT THAT POINT TO THE LORD JESUS. IN PARTICULAR DID JESUS FULFILL EVERY SACRIFICE DURING HIS LIFE, EX; PASSOVER, FIRST FRUITS ETC. THANK YOU PETE FROM LAKELAND
Answer:
There are seven feast days. The first four were fulfilled at the first coming of Christ and the last three will be fulfilled at the second coming of Christ. Jesus fulfilled the feast of Passover. I Corinthians 5:7 tell us that Jesus is the Passover lamb. The Second Feast of Unleavened Bread spoke of the burial of body of Christ. The bread represented His body. The fact that it was unleavened pictured that His body was sinless. Jesus rose on the Feast of Firstfruits Day which was a picture of the Resurrection. I Corinthians 15:20-22 tells that Jesus is the firstfruits of the Resurrection. The Holy Spirit came on the Feast of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2. The next three feasts will be fulfilled when Jesus comes again.
