Question:
I have watched you Dr. Lindstrom on tv and love your teaching. Just recently I came out of a charasmatic/pentecostal church–from the word of faith movement to the Word of God. In 1997 I made a decision to trust Jesus and have sat under the teachings of a pentecostal preacher that is considered the laughing preacher. Now I realize how that preaching is false and dangerous. Anyway, I am now going to an independent fundamental church and love it. My question is, since I am not married due to divorce, who would be considered my spiritual head? My husband left me after getting involved with a much younger woman and that was in 1998.I did not want the divorce but he divorced me to marry her. I realize that remarriage is not an option unless it would be to my former husband, but that is not likely as he is now married to the woman. That leaves me in a vulerable position as far as spiritual authority. I choose to do what God says but need to know exactly what He does say in this case. I am fairly new at me church and don’t know the pastor well as they just took over this church. Please forgive me for burdening you with this question, but it is very important to me to know the truth. Thank-you ahead of time. Be blessed, Dee.
Answer:
Is your father still living. Perhaps you could turn to him for advice. You, of course, have YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER! Consult Him daily.
