Question:
I now realize that the Sabbath starts Friday after sundown and ends Saturday at sundown. I am not Jewish but I am afraid of sinning not keeping the Sabbath sacred. I know that day is set aside for bible reading, worship and spending time with God. But if my church singles group wants to hike in the mountains on Saturday, (I have been widowed), is it ok to do so? My daughter says that no one is to do any kind of activity except rest. I respect your opinion.
Answer:
Read Colossians 2:14-16. We are not under the law. Christ took it out of the way at the cross. Therefore no one can judge you in respect to the Sabbath.
