Q # 4858112

Question:

Please list some of the O.T. passages where the priests had to be water baptized at the age of 30 years old. Thanks

Answer:

This washing of the priest was a ceremonial washing of the entire body as a picture of salvation. Exodus 29:4 “And Aaron and his sons thou shalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shalt wash them with water.” Notice the annointing following the baptism as in the case of Jesus Christ. This baptism took place when Jesus was 30 years of age. See Luke chapter 30:21-23, “Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph,” The age of thirty is given in Numbers 4:3, 23, 30, 35, 39, 43, 49. “From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.” Numbers 4:3
