Q # 5123417

Question:

Dr. Lindstrom, My congregation is building a new church. Some of my fellow board members want the worship area to be a multi purpose room. I am against this. Is their scripture to back this up?

Answer:

Certainly, I understand your concern. Your fellow board members seem to be concern about getting the most out of their finances. I do not know of any Scripture to back you up. But, I do believe that we need to be careful about what activities are allowed in a facility dedicated to God. As long as all the activities bring glory to the Lord, I believe you are OK! Look at I Corinthians 10:31,’ Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.’
