Where do Christians live during and after the 1000 years that Christ rules on earth? Also can you explain the new heaven and the new earth? Which one will be home to Christians.
Answer:
We will come back with Christ at the Second Coming and rule and reign with Him. All of us saved during the Church Age [from Pentecost to the Rapture] are the bride of Christ and the 1,000 year reign of Christ will be a celebration of the marriage of the Lamb. After the 1,000 year reign of Christ we will live in the New Jerusalem. The City of the Living God. See Hebrews 12:22-24 which states, “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” My view is that the New Heavens and Earth will be our playground, but our home will be the New Jerusalem. John 14:1-3 says, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
