Question:
Brother Hank. This is the third time I’ve put this in. It’s, again, refering to the Blood of Christ. If you look in your Scofield Bible, in the footnotes of Dr. Scofield, you see The Sacrifice of Christ, in reference to the Blood of Christ. How did he come to this conclusion? Well in 1Corinthians 11:23-26, Paul is refering to, what we call, the Lord’s Supper. You notice in verse 11, that Paul, received this doctrine or teaching directly from the Lord {Christ}. Notice in verses 24 & 25 that Paul refers back to the actual words of our Lord. It reads, this is my Body and this is the New Testament in my Blood. Now, look in verse 26. The Lord, Jesus Christ, taught Paul, that the Body and Blood of Christ, declares the death, {Spiritual Sacrifice} of Christ. This teaching came directly from Christ. So, when we see the Blood of Christ mentioned, or His Blood, as in 1John 1:7, it’s refering to the Sacrifice of Christ. And when we see the blood mentioned, as in Hebrews 9:22, it’s refering to the Old Testament Sacrifices. How do we know this? Just look at the context of the verse. My earnest prayer is that, by the Grace of God, that we can rightly divide the Word of Truth and Give our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the Praise that He is due, for His awesome Sacrifice on the Cross at Calvary. The focal point of History. The wonderous Sacrifice that fulfilled all previous Sacrifices. Thanks for your witness, and clear Gospel presentation, and for taking the time to answer our requests. God Bless. Wally
