I know that the Bible says to store up your treasures in heaven, but how do you practically do this without your motivation being greed?
Answer:
Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:19-21. The whole point of the passage is that your heart will be turned toward heaven. You might start out with thoughts of greed, but God knows as you begin to practice the things that will bring about rewards that your heart will be turned heavenward.
