Adam and Eve had sons and daughters. Genesis 5:4 says, “And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:” We believe that the murder took place when Cain was 125 years old. He married one of his sisters. By the time of the murder, there must have been a large population. Notice what Cain says, “Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.” Genesis 4:14
