Question:
Does God give us the faith to believe? I heard someone on the radio say that God even gives us our faith to believe on Him. If this is true then why does not God give everybody faith to believe on Him so that everybody can be saved?
Answer:
God gives everyone a choice which is spelled clearly in John 3:18. John 3:18 says, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” God also gives us the ability to make that choice. EVERYONE IS GOING TO BE JUDGED ACCORDING TO THAT CHOICE. SEE JOHN 12:48 which says, “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.”
