Doctor Lindstrom, I have heard you talk about the gap theory between Gen. 1 and 2. Is that in some way adding to the word of God that is written about in the book of Rev.22:18? Are there other gap theories out there?
Answer:
The gap theory is the period of time that exists between verse 1 and verse two of Genesis chapter one. There is a gap of 2,000 years between the first phrase of Isaiah 61:2 and the last phrase. In Luke 4:22 Jesus states that He fulfilled the first part at His first coming, But ‘the day of vengeance’ will be fulfilled at he second coming of Jesus. See II Thessalonians 1:8,9. I call it the ‘GAP FACT’.
