Question:
Is it possible for a born again believer, to have any kind of spiritual demons within them. I know there is spiritual warfare going on all around us but what about internally. This question was asked and my “thought” was, if our bodies are a temple of the holy spirit how could this be shared with any kind of demons. My thought on this was not based on any scripture, it was just based the idea of our boies being the temple. When we read that Jesus cast out demons, was that only of the unbelivers, who would then got out and tell everyone what God did for them. I’not very good at putting my thoughts on paper, so I hope this makes some sort of sense. Thanks

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE BELIEVER TO BE INDWELT WITH A DEMON! 1 John 4:4 states, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” This verse teaches that we have overcome the demon spirits and that the HOLY SPIRIT in the believer is greater than Satan and his demons that are in the world. No demon would want to dwell in the same body with the Holy Spirit. You are right on track. The believer can be demon influenced. The same chapter warns about listening to every spirit that comes along. 1 John 4:1 says, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” We are to test what we are hearing by the Word of God lest we be influenced or deceived by demons.
