What is the difference between the new and old Scofield bibles? What is the dispensational perspective? Someone told me Scofield was of this perspective?
Answer:
The New Scofield changes the text of Scripture without telling us. It also adds new notes and doesn’t identify them. We have implied that they are Dr. Scofield’s notes, which is not true. Dr. Scofield would not be pleased, I am sure. Many of the new notes, I disagree with. Many of the old notes are watered down and have lost their punch. The Old Scofield is a much better reference Bible.
