Paul said to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Other scriptures say with the final trump the dead in Christ will rise first. Please explain what I am missing here. Thank you and God bless you.

The Spirit and Soul depart to be with the Lord at the instant of death. The body is resurrected at a later time.
